We started our Merinos in 2004 because my parent’s final gave in to letting me start a white merino flock in addition to our natural coloreds.  We have bloodlines from Jerry Frame in Ohio who has been raising Merinos for over 50 years. We then added sheep from Mendenhall Wool Ranch in California who has Australian bloodlines.  We are currently crossing the two types. The Australian bloodlines have a slightly finer softer fleece and are whiter and less greasy then the American type. Our breeding goals are to have the lowest micro possible with a correct breed type and body structure. The ram we are using now has a 19 micron count with correct body structure from Mendenhall ram.
